MYXOID SPINDLE CELL NEVUS

Myxoid or mucinous stroma has been reported in melanomas, ordinary nevi, and in cellular blue nevi. This is rarely seen in spindle cell nevi.

Composite scan view. Note the symmetry of this dome shaped lesion. Clusters of minimally pleomorphic spindle cells are present in the lower epidermis.
