LICHENOID REACTION THAT IS INACTIVE OR SENESCENT OR BURNED OUT, PROBABLY LICHENOID KERATOSIS
The lymphocyte attack component of the lichenoid reaction may fluctuate in intensity from time to time, particularly in lichenoid keratoses. This corresponds to the clinical history of change in the character of the lesion. However, Civatte bodies remain, and one may find evidence of  lymphocyte reaction elsewhere in the lesion. The pathology may be unimpressive under low power magnification.
