EXTRAMAMMARY PAGET'S DISEASE HAVING SIGNET RING CELLS AND MUCINOUS CELLS IN THE EPIDERMIS
  From the scrotum of a 72 year old male:

The atypical cells within the epidermis in some cases of extramammary Paget's contain mucin that is visible in H&E stained sections. Actual signet ring cells may be present.
 
 
Low power view. Many of the atypical cells are in a pagetoid distribution.
High power view of above. Many of the cells have vacuolated cytoplasm, and some of these contain basophilic material that is epithelial mucin.The SRC arrows point to signet ring cells.
