DERMATOFIBROMA CONTAINING OSTEOCLAST-LIKE GIANT CELLS
Osteoclast-like giant cells are uncommon in dermatofibromas though they have been reported. Ostoclast-like giant cells are seen more commonly in giant cell tumors of tendon sheath origin and in peripheral giant cell granulomas (gingiva). Such giant cells contain numerous, crowded nuclei, and the cytoplasm of such cells stains more darkly than other cells in the adjacent tissue.

This example is from a 19 year old male.
