CLEAR CELL HIDRADENOMA (ACROSPIROMA) THAT IS PARTLY CYSTIC
Most solid tumors of sweat units have a partly cystic counterpart. Clear cell hidradenoma (acrospiroma) is discussed elsewhere, and notes regarding acrospiroma terminology are in the dermal duct tumor presentation.

From the skin near the nose of an adult:

Scan power view. The lesion has a cystic component that is mostly collapsed.
Medium power view of a solid area. The stroma in this area contains delicate blood vessels as well as some that have glassy collagen in the walls.
High power view of above.
High power view from the junction of a solid area (left) and the wall of the cyst (right). Mucus producing cells (goblet cells) partly line the cyst. Mucus producing cells are found in some clear cell hidradenomas.
High power view from another area. Goblet cells are prominent in this area. Glassy collagen surrounds some of the vascular lumina.
