Historical and directions:
This site officially started March 1, 1999. The initial format included
a 'Case of the Whenever' that was to serve as an entry into
a mini-tutorial covering a single skin lesion. This turned out to be more
ambitious than realistic, so 'Case of the Whenever' may cover cases
with limited discussions. Some of these are recent cases, and others are
derived from the 250,000 or so cases I have on my computer.
I mostly used cases that I presented at my monthly Dermatopathology
Conference at the University of Utah until July 2000. At that time,
I cancelled future conferences at that site, but I will continue to hold
'virtual' conferences on this Web site. Most of the cases have been seen
in my practice during the last month, and these are intended to cover a
broad spectrum of difficulty.
These presentations are not designed to replace standard texts; they
are supplemental. There is no peer review for these presentations, so if
you have a critical comment, please send it to me.
